JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Business Objects (Webi) expert as a member of our Data Enablement team. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless operations, provide expert support to business users, and work closely with IT and analytics teams to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for business user support, maintaining user/group access, monitoring logs and metrics, managing data access controls, and ensuring optimal performance of Webi reports and resources. You will also develop and train on best practices for report creation, dashboard creation, data curation, troubleshooting, and support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboration & Support
Work with business users to understand reporting needs and provide tailored reporting solutions.
Provide training and technical support to end users, helping them to maximize Business Objects (Webi) capabilities.
Administration & Maintenance
Monitor and maintain Business Objects (Webi) environments.
Monitor server performance, manage resource allocation, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
User & Data Management
Manage user accounts, permissions, and data security settings.
Oversee the publishing, organization, and maintenance of reports.
Ensure that data sources are properly connected, refreshed, and secured.
Performance Optimization
Analyze and optimize report performance and query efficiency.
Monitor Business Objects (Webi) resources, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Implement best practices for data visualization and reporting.
Documentation & Best Practices
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration guides and standard operating procedures.
Establish and enforce best practices for Business Objects (Webi) usage and governance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Proven experience supporting business users with analytics requirements.
Proven experience administrating Business Objects (Webi) environments, or a similar role managing BI tools. In-depth knowledge of Business Objects (Webi). Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and SQL. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive experience with Business Objects (Webi)
Experience with SAP Central Management Console
Experience with data modeling in Eclipse IDE or HANA Studio
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA
