What You'll Do
  • Full-Stack Cloud Development: Design and develop custom cloud-native applications on SAP BTP using SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and ABAP RAP
  • Architecture & Clean Core: Enforce modern SAP architecture principles, keeping the core clean by utilizing side-by-side or on-stack cloud extensibility
  • API & OData Design: Build, extend, and optimize secure OData V4 services and REST APIs to seamlessly connect data models with user interfaces
  • Integration & Security: Configure and manage the SAP Build Work Zone (Fiori Launchpad), application routing, and Cloud Foundry security artifacts (XSUAA, roles, and scopes)
  • Quality & Performance: Optimize applications for cross-device responsiveness, performance, caching, and bundling. Oversee comprehensive unit, functional, regression, and cross-device testing
  • Lead & Mentor: Provide technical leadership to the development team, act as a thought leader for SAP UI technologies, perform strict code reviews, and establish development best practices
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with SAP functional analysts, UI/UX designers, and business stakeholders through the full lifecycle to translate requirements into technical specifications

What You'll Need
  • Senior Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP development, with a strong focus on cloud-centric or S/4HANA modernization projects
  • ABAP Cloud Mastery: Deep expertise in ABAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model), Core Data Services (CDS) Views, and business object behavior definitions/implementations
  • Good Experience developing custom OData services for SAP core modules like SD, Procurement, MM, FI etc
  • Advanced Front-End Skills: Deep proficiency in SAPUI5, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and implementing complex MVC architectures for custom UI5 apps
  • Modern Frameworks: Strong hands-on experience utilizing SAP Fiori Elements for rapid, standardized application delivery
  • Tooling & Platform: Mastery of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and modern ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse
  • BTP & Cloud Infrastructure: Deep experience deploying and managing applications within the SAP BTP Cloud Foundry environment, including Launchpad service configuration
  • DevOps & Version Control: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git / abapGit for source code management, and standard SAP transport management systems
  • Experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) using Node.js or Java
  • Familiarity with SAP Build Process Automation, Hybrid Application Toolkit, or SAP Integration Suite
  • Official SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP Cloud or SAPUI5)
  • Exposure to integrating BTP cloud applications with legacy backend environments (ECC / NetWeaver Gateway)
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills across complex UI5, ABAP, and integration layers
  • Strong communication skills to articulate architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in fast-paced Agile/Scrum development teams
