Job description

Company Overview:

Growve is a leading health and wellness company specializing in acquiring, operating, and growing world-class brands within the active nutrition, dietary supplement, and beauty verticals. Our portfolio includes 16+ brands and thousands of unique products.

Position Title: Planning Manager

Position Overview:

In this role, the Planning Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving demand forecasts across Growve’s portfolio of dietary supplements and wellness products.

This role plays a critical part in aligning sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure optimal inventory levels, high service rates, and minimized waste, especially in a regulated, shelf-life-sensitive environment.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate SKU-level demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business inputs
  • Lead monthly demand planning cycle, including statistical forecasting and consensus alignment
  • Monitor forecast accuracy (e.g., MAPE, bias) and implement continuous improvements
  • Adjust forecasts for promotions, new product launches, seasonality, and lifecycle changes
  • Facilitate and lead demand review meetings as part of the S&OP process
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning teams
  • Translate commercial strategies into actionable demand plans
  • Partner with supply planning and procurement to ensure appropriate inventory levels and safety stock
  • Minimize stockouts, overstocks, and product expirations (critical for supplements with shelf-life constraints)
  • Support new product introductions and product discontinuations
  • Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and channel performance (e.g., eCommerce, retail, wholesale)
  • Create dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and fill rates
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Optimize use of forecasting tools (e.g., ERP, demand planning software)
  • Improve forecasting models using statistical and, if applicable, machine learning techniques
  • Establish and document best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Forecast Accuracy (MAPE / WAPE)
  • Forecast Bias
  • Service Level / Fill Rate
  • Inventory Turns
  • Obsolescence / Expiry Reduction
  • Own and publish the Master Production Schedule (MPS), maintaining a rolling 3-month schedule as the single source of truth for production commitments
  • Lead the supply/production review within the monthly S&OP cycle, reconciling the MPS against demand plan changes and flagging capacity or material constraints to leadership
  • Manage line-level capacity planning, including load vs. capacity analysis by line/shift and scenario planning for overtime, added shifts, or outsourcing
  • Drive rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) for new product launches and major promotions to validate schedule feasibility ahead of finalization
  • Align upstream buy plans and lead-time-driven order-by dates with the production schedule, particularly for long-lead-time or shelf-life-sensitive materials
  • Track schedule adherence and attainment metrics (e.g., MPS stability, schedule attainment %, capacity utilization) alongside forecast KPIs

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, statistics, or related field
  • 5 plus years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
  • Experience in CPG, supplements, nutraceuticals, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing S&OP or IBP processes
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (required); experience with tools like SAP IBP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Anaplan preferred
  • Familiarity with forecasting methods (time series, regression, causal models)
  • Understanding of shelf-life and regulated product environments (FDA, GMP considerations is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and influence stakeholders

Additional Details:

  • Full Time with Competitive Pay
  • Health Benefits Package
  • DTO
  • 401(k)
  • Progressive Working Environment
  • Located in Ogden, Utah
