Job description

Role summaryWe're seeking a Senior SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Developer with strong SAP S/4HANA back-end integration experience to design, build, and support enterprise integrations in complex environments. US Citizenship is required. Experience delivering for Federal or Public Sector (e.g., Government & Public Services) environments is strongly preferred.Required eligibility- US Citizen (required)- Ability to support Federal/Public Sector clients and comply with applicable background checks and onboarding requirements (as applicable)Key responsibilities- Design and implement integrations using SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI, API Management, Open Connectors as needed).- Build secure, reliable interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and external systems (cloud and on-prem), including event/message-based and API-led integrations.- Develop and maintain iFlows, mappings, adapters, exception handling, retries, and monitoring dashboards/alerts.- Implement and manage SAP BTP connectivity patterns (Cloud Connector, destinations, certificates, OAuth/SAML, principal propagation where applicable).- Develop and consume S/4HANA APIs (OData, SOAP, IDoc, RFC/BAPI) and support integration with SAP Gateway and related services.- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to translate requirements into integration designs, interface specifications, and test plans.- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning across integration runtimes.- Support CI/CD and transport processes for integration artifacts (versioning, promotion, approvals), aligned to program controls.- Produce documentation: interface catalogs, runbooks, support procedures, and security artifacts.Required qualifications (must-have)- 5-8+ years in SAP integration development (or equivalent depth), including significant work on SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI.- Strong SAP S/4HANA back-end integration experience (APIs/IDoc/RFC/BAPI; understanding of common S/4 integration objects and patterns).- Hands-on skills in:- Message formats: JSON, XML, XSD/WSDL, flat files- Groovy scripting in iFlows (and/or Java where applicable)- Mapping (graphical/message mapping), value mapping, content modifiers- Security: OAuth2, mTLS/certificates, PGP (as needed), key management basics- Experience with integration monitoring/operations (MPLs, tracing, error handling, alerting, SLAs).- Ability to work independently, lead technical workstreams, and mentor junior developers.Preferred qualifications (nice-to-have)- Prior delivery for Federal / Public Sector organizations (regulated environments, audits, ATO-like controls, strict change management).- Experience with SAP Event Mesh, asynchronous/event-driven integration patterns.- Knowledge of SAP ABAP debugging basics for interface troubleshooting.- Familiarity with SAP IAS/IPS, SSO patterns, and enterprise identity integrations.- Experience integrating with common platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce, Boomi/MuleSoft ecosystems, Azure/AWS services).- Exposure to SAP BTP services beyond Integration Suite (e.g., logging/monitoring services, Cloud Foundry/Kyma basics).Typical deliverables- Integration architecture/designs, interface specifications, iFlow packages- API proxies/policies (API Management), security configurations- Test evidence (unit/integration), deployment/rollback plans- Runbooks, operational dashboards, knowledge transfer materialsTrillion is an equal opportunity employer.
