Location: Longueuil, QC (Territory-Based)

Position Summary

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and providing technical solutions for customers in the bulk material handling, dust filtration, and wastewater treatment industries. The role focuses on developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, preparing technical proposals, and supporting customers throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across key industries, including cement, mining, food processing, chemicals, recycling, agriculture, and manufacturing.
  • Promote and sell WAMGROUP products and solutions, including screw conveyors, rotary valves, dust collectors, bin activators, level indicators, and related material handling equipment.
  • Meet with customers to understand their processes, operational challenges, and project requirements.
  • Recommend technical solutions and equipment based on customer needs and application requirements.
  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and sales presentations.
  • Follow up on leads, inquiries, and quotations to secure new business.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance before and after equipment installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging industry opportunities.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer visits to promote WAMGROUP products and services.
  • Achieve annual sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in technical sales, process engineering, project engineering, or industrial equipment applications.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license.
