Key responsibilities
SAP BODS Development:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into SAP HANA.
Performance and Optimization:
Optimize BODS dataflows and HANA data models for performance and scalability, including performance tuning, memory management, and using features like delta loads and caching.
Data Modeling:
Create and maintain complex data models in SAP HANA, including Attribute, Analytic, and Calculation Views.
Data Quality and Cleansing:
Implement data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity and resolve data quality issues.
Technical Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL processes, data models, and solutions.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with business users and functional teams to understand requirements, provide support during testing, and resolve issues.
Troubleshooting:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to BODS jobs and HANA performance.
Project Lifecycle:
Participate in the full project lifecycle, from requirements analysis to design, development, testing, and post-implementation support.
Required skills and experience
SAP BODS: 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in SAP BODS development, including designing complex jobs and workflows.
SAP HANA: 6+ years of experience in SAP HANA data modeling, SQL scripting, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
HANA Development Tools:
Experience with SAP HANA Studio, Web IDE, and HANA XS Classic/Advanced.
Integration:
Experience with various integration scenarios, including with SAP and non-SAP data sources, as well as cloud platforms.
Data Migration:
Proven experience with end-to-end data migration projects.
ETL Concepts:
A strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing best practices, and data migration strategies.
Other Technologies:
Familiarity with data provisioning tools (SDI, SDA, SLT) and integration methods like IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
