Position Overview


The Senior TSaaS Performance & Quality Engineer is responsible for the operational quality, performance, and continuous optimization of Traffic Safety as a Service (TSaaS) programs after deployment. This role serves as the operational intelligence lead for customer programs, using observability, analytics, AI-assisted insights, and engineering expertise to identify performance trends, investigate root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across the entire enforcement lifecycle.


What You'll Own

  • End-to-end observability of TSaaS programs from camera detection through citation processing, payment, and reporting.
  • Performance monitoring for cameras, edge devices, cloud applications, integrations, and operational workflows.
  • Root cause analysis for operational issues affecting system performance, image quality, capture rates, uptime, and customer SLAs.
  • Program optimization recommendations including camera performance, workflows, dashboards, AI-driven trend analysis, and operational improvements.
  • Customer performance reviews, executive reporting, and technical recommendations.
  • Coordination with Cloud Operations, Network & Identity, Implementation, Field Services, Product, Development, and customer stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health and performance of production TSaaS environments using existing dashboards and observability platforms.
  • Identify anomalies, emerging trends, and operational risks before they impact customers.
  • Leverage AI and analytics to enhance trend detection, predictive insights, and operational decision making.
  • Lead root cause investigations and coordinate technical resources to resolve identified issues.
  • Assign work to the appropriate operational teams while tracking issues through resolution.
  • Evaluate camera image quality, capture rates, detection performance, SLA compliance, and revenue protection metrics.
  • Recommend system, workflow, camera configuration, and product improvements based on operational data.
  • Support customer meetings, executive business reviews, operational audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Technical Environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Operations, Quality Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' Experience in technical operations, service assurance, quality management, service performance management, field operations, managed services, or production support.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and turn findings into practical corrective actions.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, dashboards, ticket data, service reports, incident records, operational KPIs, or production metrics.
  • Understanding of service availability, operational risk, customer impact, escalation paths, and production readiness.
  • Strong ability to work across multiple technical teams while keeping ownership clear.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to summarize technical issues in clear operational language.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated enforcement, ALPR/ANPR, camera systems, image-based workflows, smart city systems, public safety technology, ITS, or distributed sensor systems.
  • Experience in managed service environments where uptime, compliance, customer trust, and reporting matter.
  • Experience working with municipal, government, law enforcement, or public-sector customers.
  • Familiarity with production readiness, incident/problem management, quality control, auditability, and regulated service operations.
