Job description

With headquarters in California and operations around the world, Jacuzzi Group has been providing innovative wellness solutions for over 65 years. Jacuzzi Group, a leading manufacturer of hot tubs, swim spas, baths, showers, saunas, and pool equipment.

Jacuzzi Group is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support the full lifecycle of product development, from concept and design through testing, validation, and production launch. This role will play a critical part in developing and improving bath and sanitary ware products, with a strong focus on fluid flow performance, product reliability, and manufacturability. The Mechanical Engineer will work cross-functionally with engineering, product marketing, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to bring new products to market and ensure existing products meet performance, quality, and cost expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Research, design, and develop mechanical components and assemblies for bath and sanitary products
  • Utilize CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) to create models, drawings, and specifications
  • Apply principles of Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics to optimize product performance
  • Leverage Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to analyze and improve flow behavior in valves and shower components
  • Design and develop test equipment and fixtures
  • Lead product validation efforts, including: Reliability and durability testing, Performance and flow testing
  • Evaluate and validate products sourced from domestic and international suppliers
  • Conduct experiments, analyze results, and present findings to leadership
  • Respond to and resolve internal quality issues
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to ensure product readiness
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), including mold development and production ramp-up
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement design improvements
  • Approve designs prior to full-scale production
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation and technical drawings
  • Work closely with Product Management, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Engineering teams
  • Support R&D initiatives and explore new technologies and materials
  • Train and advise manufacturing personnel on product design and production processes

Compensation : $78,000 + based on experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Strong foundation in fluid flow, heat transfer, and mechanical design
  • Experience with CFD tools and simulation methods
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
  • Background in high-volume, process-oriented industries such as Automotive, Appliances, Plumbing Products, Refrigeration, or comparable manufacturing settings is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CNC programming (highly desirable)
  • Exposure to product validation, testing, and new product introduction (NPI)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
