We are hiring a Plant Sanitarian in Livingston, CA. If you're someone who takes pride in operating with precision, enjoys working in a hands-on environment, and thrives in a team-focused setting, this opportunity is for you. We're looking for individuals who are committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, and who are eager to be part of a collaborative workplace. This position requires on-site presence and the flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime with short notice.

What you'll do

  • Perform hands-on sanitation tasks including the cleaning of equipment and other areas of the facility
  • Identify and communicate process issues or risks to help improve operations
  • Follow standardized work instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Support and contribute to cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the work area
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities with leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve systems and procedures
  • Adapt to various shifts and respond to overtime requests when needed and perform other duties as assigned

What you'll bring

  • Hands-on experience to work with hazardous chemicals
  • Experience in documenting completion of tasks per respective master sanitation schedule 
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders as well as work in places up to 30' high
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in tight, wet, hot, humid and confined spaces
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment using various hand and power tools
  • A flexible mindset with the willingness to work different shifts or extended hours
  • The Capacity to perform Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures, drive a forklift, Genie Boom and scissor lift
  • Skills to operate a power washer and floor scrubber
  • Ability to twist and bend down to reach under and between equipment
