What is a sandblasting painter?

A Sandblasting Painter is responsible for preparing and painting surfaces by using high-pressure abrasive blasting to remove rust, dirt, and old coatings. This process ensures proper adhesion of paint or protective coatings, typically on metal structures, machinery, or vehicles. They must follow safety procedures, wear protective gear, and work in controlled environments to prevent exposure to harmful dust and fumes. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and knowledge of different blasting materials and coatings.

To thrive as a Sandblasting Painter, you need experience with surface preparation, coating application, and knowledge of industry safety standards, often complemented by a high school diploma or equivalent.
