Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives within our client's broadband organization. This role will primarily focus on driving a critical outage management program aimed at improving how service disruptions are identified, managed, and communicated to customers across the enterprise footprint. The ideal candidate is a seasoned project/program management professional who excels at coordinating complex initiatives, aligning stakeholders, managing risks, and delivering business outcomes. While the role is heavily focused on project and program leadership (80-90%), the successful candidate must also possess enough business analysis and requirements experience (10-20%) to partner effectively with Business Analysts, validate requirements, identify process gaps, and contribute to business requirements documentation. This is a hybrid role that requires 4 days per week in the Stamford, CT or Denver, CO office. All qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or visa transfers. Please note that we do not work C2C.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional broadband programs from initiation through implementation.
  • Manage an outage management initiative focused on developing processes and systems that improve customer communication during service interruptions.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Develop end-to-end business workflows and operational processes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively connecting related issues across workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Partner with Business Analysts to review requirements, identify process gaps, validate solutions, and contribute to Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
  • Facilitate collaboration across business, technology, operations, product, and customer experience teams.
  • Establish and manage stakeholder communication plans, ensuring alignment at all organizational levels.
  • Drive program governance activities, status reporting, executive presentations, and decision-making forums.
  • Track project health, manage escalations, and ensure successful delivery of business objectives.
  • Influence stakeholders and navigate complex organizational dynamics to maintain momentum and achieve results.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of project and/or program management experience leading complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Direct experience within the broadband, telecommunications, cable, or connectivity services industry.
  • Proven ability to manage large, cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and program governance practices.
  • Experience developing project plans, managing timelines, tracking risks, and driving execution.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and collaborate effectively with Business Analysts and technical teams.
  • Experience creating or reviewing process flows, workflow documentation, and BRDs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify upstream/downstream impacts across a program.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with outage management, service assurance, network operations, customer communications, or related broadband operational programs preferred.
  • Experience leading process improvement and operational transformation initiatives preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or related project management certifications preferred.
  • Experience working in highly matrixed enterprise environments preferred.

Compensation
Sand Cherry Associates is required by Colorado law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long-term W-2, consulting engagement with an expected salary rate of $120,000-$130,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
