Job description

We are currently hiring a seasonal, full-time Bartenders at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery in Jamaica Plain, MA

 
As a bartender in our taproom, you'll provide engaging, high-quality service that helps bring our brand to life. You'll interact with guests, share your knowledge of craft beer, and create a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role where your energy and enthusiasm directly shape the guest experience.
 
What You'll Brew:
  • Deliver exceptional, customer-first service and create a welcoming, positive taproom atmosphere
  • Engage guests with beer samples and promote products, including growler fills, to enhance their experience
  • Educate customers on craft beer, brewing processes, and ingredients
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while acting as a brand ambassador
  • Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash responsibly
  • Use sound judgment and clear communication when interacting with guests and team members
  • Collaborate with taproom team members and escalate situations when appropriate
  • Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction and changing needs
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
 
What Ingredients You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bartender license if required by state law
  • Experience in hospitality or a customer-facing service environment 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sometimes repeatedly
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 11 hours) on various surfaces
  • Ability to safely operate equipment and handle materials
  • Manual dexterity to prepare and serve beverages and interact with systems and tools
  • Ability to navigate physical requirements such as climbing stairs, working at heights, crouching, or crawling 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment 
  • Experience in craft beer or brewery settings 
  • CPR or First Aid certification 
 
Level: 10IC 
 
In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $10.00 per hour. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for tips received during the worked shift.
