Industrial Reliability Maintenance Mechanic

When the plant wakes up, youโ€™re the one who makes sure everything runs right. Youโ€™ll keep production equipment safe, steady, and readyโ€”tackling preventive work before issues arise and jumping on breakdowns with calm precision when they do. If youโ€™ve spent time as an industrial maintenance mechanic and love solving tough mechanical problems, weโ€™d love to talk.

A day in the life

Youโ€™ll start by reviewing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, then move through the floor checking equipment health and safety. As the day unfolds, youโ€™ll troubleshoot mechanical faults, bring machines back online, support equipment installs, and coordinate with production to optimize workflows for safety, scrap reduction, and throughput. When needed, youโ€™ll perform tool setups, mold changes, and production sampling to keep lines moving.

What youโ€™ll handle
  • Maintain and monitor production equipment to ensure safe operating conditions using preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns with urgency and accuracy.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
  • Improve equipment operation and workflow to enhance safety, reduce scrap, and increase productivity.
  • Perform tool setups, mold changes, and production sampling to support operations.
  • Take on additional duties as business needs evolve.
What you bring
  • 3+ years of Maintenance Mechanic experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; read/interpret blueprints and schematics; diagnose and repair complex systems.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, or similar mobile equipment with proper training/certification.
  • Solid foundation in basic electrical troubleshooting, installation, and repair; PLC/robotic troubleshooting or programming is a plus (not required).
  • Hands-on experience with motors, pumps, filters, air compressors, and chillers.
  • Comfortable with HMIs/touch screens; general computer literacy.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Own hand tools.
  • Rapid, physical response to emergencies or unplanned downtime when needed.
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
