Cylinder Room Labourer

Job Overview and Responsibilities:
Cylinder Room Labourer

Primary responsibilities include the following (but are not limited to):

  • Cleaning and preparing pressure cylinders (sample vessels) to collect oil & gas samples.
  • Perform cleaning (clean oil samples by solvent recirculation, gas samples by steam and dry air) followed by vacuuming and preparation for cylinder.
  • Prepare the boxes of sample cylinders by strapping, labelling and arranging them for client pick up or shipping.
  • Able to stand in one work satation doing repetitve motion for 2 hours before moving to another task.
  • Ability to use computers, Microsoft 365 and communicate by email in English.
  • Inspect and maintain cylinder room tools and equipment on a regular basis.
  • Maintain proper inventory of supplies, parts, accessories and other consumables associated with shipping.
  • Maintain open communications/emails within department to effectively identify client needs.
  • Perform daily workload as prioritized by supervisor to accommodate daily rushes.
  • Provide support as required to other areas of Technical Services Group.
  • Update parts inventory and order parts.

  • Technical skills (handy with tools for cylinder repairs and testing). and preferably some shipping experience.
  • Safety awareness and follow company safety protocols.
