Statesville Analytical is looking to add a  part-time  to full-time position for a Field Sampler to our team.  Statesville Analytical provides top quality analytical services to local government facilities across North Carolina. For the past 35 years we have specialized in water and wastewater laboratory services. Our modern facility is staffed with highly trained and certified professionals. We are a 100% woman owned company located in Statesville, North Carolina.  The Field Sampler provides knowledge on site sampling protocols and practices while completing documents and helping customers.

Job Overview

This employee is responsible for driving a designated route each day to customer sites and setting up samplers to pull grab samples and composite water/waste water samples, perform field parameter testing, sample courier and laboratory support as required. Responsibilities include:

  • Sample collection and pick-up services for water, wastewater and industrial clients including sampler set up for composite samples
  • Performing basic field parameter testing (e.g, Chlorine, pH, etc)
  • Customer cooler preparations (Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly)
  • Chain of custody documentation following good documentation practices
  • Provide customer service as required. 

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent with valid driver’s license (clean record)
  • Experience performing water/waste water sampling to ensure sample integrity a plus
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and carry short distance
  • Mechanical ability and able to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Punctuality, time management and a sense of urgency
  • Strong communication skills with strong customer service drive
  • Strict adherence to safety rules, driving laws, scheduled routes and other guidelines
