Position Summary

In your role as a Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)Technician, you'll be responsible to operate dual beam focused ion beam to prepare high quality samples suitable for advanced TEM analysis, including level appropriate tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
Additional functions of this technician position include collaborating with imaging team to improve sample quality, learning new techniques to expand capability, improve output and efficiency for better team throughput and TAT.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Follow SOP and job instructions carefully with a keen attention to details
  • Operate Dual Beam FIB tools to prepare high quality samples free of damage or artifacts for TEM analysis
  • Perform level appropriate tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting
  • Strive for output and efficiency improvement to help the team achieve TAT and capa goals
  • Determine and assist in development of methods and procedures to optimize techniques and capabilities related to in-lab operations.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2+ years of college or technical school (preferred, but not required).

  • 1+ of experience in Semiconductor field (preferred, but not required).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, Tools:

  • SEM and FIB operation for the preparation of high quality TEM samples free of damages or artifacts.

  • Must have the ability to understand, remember and follow verbal and written instructions

  • Must have the ability to remain stationary position for extended periods of time when required

  • Must be able to frequently work at a computer terminal.

  • Must have the ability to safely handle and transfer parts or samples smaller than 1/8in. by using tweezers.

  • Operator level tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.

  • Chemical and dry etch sample delayering.

  • Physical failure analysis sample manipulation.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and have keen ability to navigate various Samsung software applications.

Night Shifts Include:

B Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays

D Shift - Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm - 7:15pm) with alternating Saturdays

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 - $45.00. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
