Primary Objective: To safely, accurately, and efficiently handle various types of products for the purpose of receiving, locating, shipping,
and/or keeping operations running. Product may include roll goods, packages, cartons, or palletized items. Verifies
accuracy of products loaded on trucks for delivery to customers.
Major Function and Scope:
• Performs as a Checker - verifying the product pulled against the Pull Sheet
• Oversees lower-level Material Handlers
• Perform pre-shift inspections
• Prepare trailers to be loaded
• May check material for defects and correct weigh before handling or loading them and pre-pack finished
materials at a wrap/banding/bagging station
• Manually loads packaged material onto pallets, skids, and boxes, and secures material or products for transport
• Pulls and stages materials as required to meet production demands
• Place proper labeling on materials
• Records quality and output measures, and completes any other necessary paperwork
• May be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, etc.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
Type of Experience and Knowledge:
Knowledge, Experience, Certifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Lift Truck Certification preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• May be required to use department specific database systems such as: AS400, RF menus
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and
subtraction
• At least 6 months experience as Material Handler II
• Proven knowledge of all current vision systems
• Must be able to pass a color-vision screening

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:
• May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment
• Working in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust,
fumes, and variable temperatures
• Close vision depth perception and color perception are occasionally required to perform this job
