What is same day surgery?

Same day surgery, also known as outpatient or ambulatory surgery, refers to surgical procedures where patients are admitted, operated on, and discharged all within the same day. These surgeries are typically less invasive, require shorter recovery times, and do not require an overnight hospital stay.
