CLA is currently seeking a Sales Tax Consulting Senior to join ourState & Local Tax (SALT)practice.

Howyou'llcreate opportunitiesin thisSenior role:

  • Research and advise on multistate sales and use tax issues, including nexus, taxability, and exemptions to minimize client exposure.
  • Lead and support compliance engagements - return preparation, voluntary disclosure agreements, and audit defense across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Identify tax savings opportunities and communicate actionable insights to clients in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Manage engagements from scoping through delivery, with increasing ownership of timelines, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Partner across CLA service lines - income tax, property tax, credits & incentives - to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency, accuracy, and a best-in-class client experience.
  • Grow your expertise through CLA's SALT training programs, hands-on client work, and exposure to complex multistate issues.
  • Mentor associates and interns, helping build a high-performing, collaborative SALT team.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance,or related fieldrequired
  • 2+years'ofrelevantexperiencerequired
  • Experience in business consulting or services preferred
  • CPA eligible preferred
