Our Client is seeking a Special Education Transportation Aide to provide service in the Anne Arundel County area.
AVAIALBLE HOURS
* Monday - Friday (split schedule)
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Assists special needs students boarding and exiting school buses (occasionally lifting when necessary)
* Assign students to seats and adjust safety traps
* Observe students during transportation and react promptly to behavioral needs
* Assist students during medical emergencies
* Attend in-service training and workshops as established
* Perform other duties as assigned.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
* Some knowledge of and/or experience supporting special needs students (preferred)
* Ability to exercise considerable patience and physically, emotionally, and mentally assist disabled students during their transportation to and from school
* Ability to work cooperatively with students and parents
* Ability to complete and satisfactorily pass background check
* Ability to present current CPR/First Aid, Physical, and TB/Skin Test
