Job description

This role is hybrid with 2 days in our Rockville office, or can be fully remote across the US.

About the role

We're looking for a seasoned Salesforce Technical Architect to drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure Salesforce solutions within complex enterprise settings. This role calls for strong technical depth, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to partner closely with both business and technology stakeholders to turn strategic goals into solid Salesforce builds. The right candidate has hands-on experience across the Salesforce ecosystem and a demonstrated history of driving architecture decisions on high-impact initiatives.

This position involves building custom Salesforce applications, integrating multiple systems, and contributing to Salesforce implementation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage Salesforce packages
  • Establish and follow best practices for collaborative development environments, including code versioning, sharing, and management tools and processes
  • Maintain clear, consistent documentation and commenting (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Apply agile methodologies, including scrum-based development and full project lifecycles
  • Uphold QA standards, including manual testing, peer/self-review, thorough test case creation, and proper handoff documentation for BA/QA
  • Collaborate with project managers, lead developers, and business analysts to gather project requirements and specifications
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging developments across the platforms and technologies in use
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing programs and implement the necessary changes
  • Take full ownership of tasks, driving tickets through to completion
Required Qualifications
  • Multiple Salesforce certifications required -Certified Application Architect or Certified System Architect strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Architect on Salesforce.com (SFDC) implementation projects
  • Familiarity with middleware and APIs for integrating Salesforce with other systems is a plus
  • Experience implementing, extending, and deploying Salesforce AppExchange apps
  • Background working within Agile processes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices
