Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Build scalable applications, custom business logic, and reusable components that support legal operations and business growth.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce/Litify and third-party applications using REST APIs, Platform Events, middleware, and web services.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions and system architecture.
  • Customize and extend the Litify platform to improve workflows, automate business processes, and enhance user experience.
  • Develop advanced automation using Apex Triggers, Flow, asynchronous processing, and batch jobs while following Salesforce development best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce development standards, security best practices, and governor limits.
  • Manage source control, deployments, and release management using Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tools.
  • Develop custom reports, dashboards, and data solutions that provide executive leadership with real-time business intelligence.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality through unit testing, automated testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, Operations, Leadership, and external vendors on strategic technology initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform releases, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the platform.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce Development experience.
  • Minimum 2 years developing solutions within Litify or another highly customized Salesforce application.
  • Strong experience developing with:
    • Apex
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Visualforce
    • SOQL
    • SOSL
    • Salesforce APIs
  • Experience developing custom REST and SOAP integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and platform capabilities.
  • Experience designing custom objects, custom metadata, custom settings, and complex data models.
  • Experience building asynchronous processes using Queueable Apex, Batch Apex, Future Methods, and Scheduled Apex.
  • Experience with Salesforce security architecture, including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, role hierarchy, and field-level security.
  • Experience using Salesforce DX, Git, and modern source control practices.
  • Experience deploying code using CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software design skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday (8:30 AM-5:30 PM) in New York City.

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (Required Preferred Credential)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification

  • Experience developing within Litify in a Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with document management, telephony, accounting, or legal software platforms.
  • Experience working with MuleSoft or other integration platforms.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern web development practices.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or other CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience participating in Salesforce implementations, large-scale migrations, or enterprise platform modernization projects.
  • Experience leading Salesforce development projects and mentoring junior developers.
  • Trailhead Superbadges and Advanced Salesforce Certifications are a plus.
