Toyota Financial Services is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Principal Salesforce Engineer / Development Lead.
What You Will Be Doing
Imagine leading the architecture and development of cutting-edge Salesforce platforms that seamlessly integrate with cloud-native services and enterprise systems. Success means delivering reliable, high-performance solutions that empower teams and enhance customer experience every day. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence across complex projects.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related technologies to create scalable, secure, and extensible platforms.
  • Hands on Salesforce Platform Development if needed.
  • Own complex, cross-domain technical initiatives spanning Salesforce, backend services, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering best practices to ensure operational excellence, performance, and resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with technical lead, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Mentor and influence engineering teams through design reviews, pair programming, and architectural guidance.
  • Innovate by integrating emerging AI-powered development tools and automation into the software lifecycle.
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and observability through thoughtful design and implementation.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience providing a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
  • 12+ years of hands-on software development experience with a proven track record of designing and operating large-scale, production-grade systems.
  • Advanced expertise in Salesforce Service Platform technologies including Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Agent force, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Shield.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce integration patterns using REST, Bulk APIs, Platform Events, Streaming APIs, and middleware.
  • Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS), RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Copado or Harness integrated with Salesforce.
  • Practical knowledge of observability, application security, compliance, and performance optimization.
  • Exposure to GenAI-powered software development lifecycle practices, including AI-assisted development, testing, and code review.

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Service Cloud Consultant, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications.
  • Strong Trailhead profile.
