Job description

The Senior Salesforce Engineer is responsible for the technical design, configuration, development, and optimization of Salesforce Revenue Cloud capabilities, including CPQ, billing, payments, order management, and quote-to-cash integrations. This role is hands-on and partners closely with Finance, Operations, Product, Salesforce Engineering, and Integration teams to deliver scalable revenue processes for enterprise and franchise operations.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Cloud & Quote-to-Cash Solution Design (30%)

  • Lead the technical architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce Revenue Cloud capabilities, including CPQ, Billing, Payments, product catalog management, pricing, quoting, contracting, ordering, invoicing, and quote-to-cash processes.
  • Design scalable Revenue Cloud solutions that support multiple brands, franchise owners, locations, pricing models, and payment scenarios.
  • Translate Finance and Operations business requirements into scalable, configurable Salesforce Revenue Cloud solutions and technical implementation plans.
  • Establish and maintain technical standards for product modeling, pricing rules, approval workflows, billing logic, payment processing, and revenue automation.

Salesforce Configuration & Development (30%)

  • Configure Salesforce CPQ, product bundles, pricing rules, quote templates, billing rules, approval workflows, and other Revenue Cloud capabilities.
  • Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, APIs, and declarative automation to extend platform functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to quoting, billing, invoicing, payments, tax calculations, reconciliation, and downstream integrations.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, configuration reviews, and release readiness assessments to ensure solution quality and maintainability.

Payments & Financial Systems Integration (40%)

  • Design and lead integrations with payment service providers such as Stripe, Global Payments, Authorize.net, or comparable payment gateways.
  • Support payment authorization, capture, refunds, transaction reconciliation, reporting, error handling, and applicable fee or surcharge processing.
  • Collaborate with AWS Integration Engineering and Finance Systems teams to integrate Salesforce Revenue Cloud with ERP, accounting, tax, reporting, and financial settlement platforms.
  • Ensure all revenue and payment solutions meet enterprise standards for security, auditability, compliance, performance, and operational support

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 3+ years in Revenue Cloud, CPQ, Billing, or equivalent quote-to-cash platforms.
  • Deep experience with CPQ product configuration, pricing rules, quote templates, contracts, orders, billing processes, and approvals.
  • Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, LWC, Flow, APIs, and custom automation.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with payment gateways, ERP/accounting systems, tax engines, or financial platforms.
  • Strong ability to partner with Finance, Operations, Product, and technical teams to design scalable revenue processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Billing, Salesforce Payments, Revenue Cloud Advanced, subscription models, usage-based pricing, or complex franchise billing models.
  • Experience with Stripe, Global Payments, Authorize.net, Avalara, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or comparable financial platforms.
  • Experience with multi-brand, multi-location, franchise, or distributed operating environments.
  • Experience migrating from legacy CPQ, billing, or payment platforms to Salesforce Revenue Cloud.
