Job description

Salesforce Developer

TxDOT requires the services of 1 Salesforce Developer who meets the general qualification of Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 and the specifications outlined in this document. This is a hands-on role with solid understanding of Salesforce platform, its best practices, and architecture. The essential job requirements include planning, analyzing business requirements, design, develop scalable and reusable software and maintenance of existing systems.

Fully understand, support, maintain user roles, profiles, sharing access and security best practices. Develop and manage custom applications using the declarative customization capabilities of the Lightning Platform. Must be proficient with Apex, Lightning Components and specifically Lightning Web components. Develop and manage Experience Cloud Sites. Extend functionality with custom lightning web components as needed. Builds custom report types, reporting snapshots, complex charting, custom summary formulas, bucketing, joined reports, and cross-filters to build reports that meet complex business requirements. Must know when to extend the Lightning Platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components and be able to code proficiently. Must have a basic understanding of Digital Accessibility requirements. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with Change Management Process. Create and maintain detailed set of instructions and system configuration, ERD, flowcharts, and other documentation as needed. Deliver quality deliverables as agreed upon within the schedule. Flexible enough to adjust to changes in work, technology, team, etc. Stay up to date on the latest Salesforce.com releases, technologies, applications, and integrations. The candidate must be self-driven, broadly curious, collaborative, and ready to rise to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Term of Service (Required): 12 mo. @ 2080 hrs Note: Working overtime maybe expected in order to meet tight deadlines.

Work Hours and Location 8 AM to 5 PM, Camp Hubbard Bldg 6 – 3712 Jackson Avenue, Austin TX 78731. Work will be performed onsite in Austin, during normal business work hours. Candidate may be required to work evenings or weekends to meet business needs and deadlines. Working remotely is accepted in accordance with TxDOT’s policies. If the resource is in Austin area, current requirement is to be in the office a minimum of once a week.
