Salesforce Associate information

What is a Salesforce Associate?

A Salesforce Associate is an entry-level professional who assists with the administration, management, and optimization of Salesforce, a popular customer relationship management (CRM) platform. They support senior Salesforce administrators and users by handling data entry, report generation, user account maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Salesforce Associates may also help with training users, ensuring data quality, and implementing simple automation within the platform. This role is ideal for those looking to start a career in Salesforce or CRM administration.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a Salesforce Associate?

To thrive as a Salesforce Associate, you need a foundational understanding of CRM concepts, data management, and basic knowledge of the Salesforce platform, often supported by a Salesforce Associate certification. Familiarity with Salesforce tools such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and reporting dashboards is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you excel in assisting users and supporting business processes. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring seamless CRM operations and maximizing the value organizations derive from their Salesforce investment.

How does a Salesforce Associate typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

As a Salesforce Associate, you’ll regularly work with teams such as sales, marketing, customer service, and IT to ensure data accuracy and support business processes. Your role often involves gathering requirements from stakeholders, customizing Salesforce features, and assisting users with troubleshooting. Successful collaboration requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical colleagues. This cross-functional teamwork not only helps drive organizational goals but also offers valuable learning opportunities and exposure to different business functions.

Job description

Join our team and experience how we lead with passion, positivity, and accountability to deliver the Right Talent. Right Now. We create an environment where you can think big, have fun and truly make a difference.

Position Summary
Launch your career in sales with Oxford Global Resources. We're looking for ambitious, competitive recent college graduates who are ready to learn, grow, and build a successful career in B2B sales. As a Business Development Associate (BDA), you'll begin your career in our 8-week Oxford Sales Academy (OSA), an immersive training program designed to give you the skills, confidence, and real-world experience to succeed in sales. You'll learn how to build relationships, identify business opportunities, communicate with clients, and develop the core sales skills you'll use throughout your career.

Upon successfully completing the Academy, you'll be prepared to advance into a full-time Business Development Representative (BDR) role and take the next step in building your career at Oxford. If you're motivated by competition, growth, and the opportunity to turn your drive into a rewarding career, Oxford is a place to start.

What Does Oxford Do?
For more than 40 years, Oxford Global Resources has connected companies around the world with specialized technical talent - engineers, software developers, scientists, and other technical professionals - when they need expertise but aren't ready to make a full-time hire. We place 3,100+ consultants yearly and have completed more than 75,000 projects for our clients.

The Oxford Sales Academy: 8 Weeks of Paid Hands-On Sales Training
OSA blends in-person training, real practice, and coaching. Alongside a cohort of peers, each day pairs classroom training with live prospecting time, so you build a skill and apply it right away. Over 8 weeks, you'll:

  • Learn top-of-funnel skills: prospecting, qualifying, objection handling, and closing
  • Prospect into live client accounts, setting real meetings and earning commission on every meeting completed
  • Train on AI-powered prospecting techniques and Oxford's embedded AI tools
  • Gain exposure to Salesforce, Gong, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Get direct feedback from experienced sales mentors and facilitators through coaching, practice sessions, and performance checkpoints

What Happens at the End of the 8 Weeks?
By the end of the 8 weeks, you'll have the foundation and confidence to succeed in a Business Development Representative role, as well as the opportunity to be promoted into a full-time, permanent position with our team. Promotions are based on performance and are evaluated throughout the entirety of the program. Advancement to a full-time sales role is determined by how you demonstrate the skills and competencies developed throughout the program and is not guaranteed simply by completing it.

If Promoted to a Business Development Representative: What You'll Do Next

  • Partner with a senior Account Manager to identify target accounts and turn prospecting outreach into real deals with uncapped commissions
  • Apply proven sales techniques in live client conversations, from first contact to qualifying the opportunity
  • Sharpen your craft through ongoing coaching and professional development
  • Grow along a defined career path, from Business Development Associate to Business Development Representative to Account Manager and beyond

What We're Looking For

  • A competitive drive and interest in a sales career
  • Strong communication skills: you're comfortable picking up the phone
  • Coachability: you take feedback well and apply it quickly
  • Resilience: you don't get rattled by a "no"
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Compensation
Base pay, plus commission on booked and completed meetings. You'll also have chances to win prizes and incentives through team competitions during the 8 weeks.

Schedule & Start Date This program runs Monday-Thursday, 28 hours/week. We have cohorts starting in January 2027 and June 2027.
