Summary:
Sales Support Specialist I at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Sales team supporting efforts to maximize revenue and provide excellent customer support. This position supports the management of shipments and achieving the sales/logistics goals of the sales team and is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, organized, and a problem-solver. 

Key Responsibilities
1. Account Management:
  • Manage assigned accounts and support daily operations of the sales force and customers to ensure smooth functioning. 
  • Drive sales growth by maintaining regular communication with our existing customer base and work with the sales team on strategies to increase sales. 
  • Identify customer needs accurately and ensure timely fulfillment of product and shipping requirements. 
  • Handle incoming calls promptly and efficiently, processing orders effectively to meet customer demands. 
2. Sales Performance Monitoring:
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of budget constraints and forecast revenue goals. 
  • Strive to meet and surpass sales quotas by supporting effective sales strategies and tactics. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding sales volumes and exploring logistic options to optimize sales operations and meet business objectives. 
3. Customer Service Management:
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional customer service and devising innovative solutions to address customer concerns effectively. 
  • Foster positive and mutually beneficial customer relationships to enhance collaboration and support long-term success. 
4. Support Functions and Collaboration:
  • Conduct regular inspections of orders departing three times a week to ensure accuracy and quality. 
  • Participate in various projects, including promotional activities and the development of marketing materials when needed. 
  • Communicate inventory levels, sales data, and packaging strategies to team members promptly and with a sense of urgency. 
  • Provide support to external sales representatives by managing credits, handling sample requests, coordinating point-of-sale materials, and collaborating with sales associates across different plants. 
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position. 

What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Requires ability to travel up to 15% of the time 
Preferred:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in culinary arts, aquaculture, or business degree 
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member: 
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position 80% of the time, with intermittent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and/or crawling. 
  • Ability to move and transport documents, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations for different team members, departments, and events. 
  • Capable of occasional travel as required by duties, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in diverse locations. 
  • Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and printer. 
  • Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions. 
  • Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.
