Job description

Sales Representative (Trainee)
Department: Lease & Rental - Badgerland Idealease
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Milwaukee
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 / year
Description
This is an entry-level sales development opportunity in our lease and rental truck division. You do not need truck, leasing, or transportation experience to be successful here. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, follow-through, curiosity, and a drive to learn our business from the ground up.
This is a hands-on opportunity to learn a relationship-driven sales business, work directly with customers, and develop skills that can grow into larger responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with customers and prospects through calls, visits, email follow-up, research, and CRM activity.
  • Support the entire rental process, including generating rental agreements using our business system and securing insurance and credit approval.
  • Learn how rental activity connects to long-term lease and customer growth.
  • Work with customers in a professional, timely and urgent manner, including hands-on tasks such as truck check-in/check-out and logistics.
  • Assist with inspections, documentation, administration, and related paperwork.
  • Participate in sales training, individual and team prospecting activities, assist with customer events, and other opportunities to learn the industry.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, rental, and administration across the organization.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • High school diploma or equivalent. College coursework, a degree, military service, or other relevant (not necessarily industry) experience may all add value.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Comfort using basic Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, thoroughness, and follow through.
