Essential Functions:
The High Point Rockers are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Intern to provide support to our management team excellent customer service to our patrons. A Sales Intern assists the Assistant General Manager, Director of Ticket Operations, and Sales Executives in the day-to-day operation of the Sales Department, including but not limited to Group Sales, Season Ticket Sales, and Corporate Partnership Sales. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly and function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role provides an ideal opportunity to learn the full group sales process in the sport and entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to work in a high paced environment.
• Electronic and computer proficiency
• Excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
• High attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain a neat, clean & professional appearance.
Duties:
• Assist in selling full season ticket plans, partial season plans, group tickets, fundraising tickets, and corporate partnerships.
• Sales interns will receive training and work with the supervisor to complete sales calls daily
• Personally interact with fans and patrons you encounter
• Representing organization in the community
• Assist in the creation of presentations/PowerPoints for Corporate proposals
• Assist in creation of flyers
• Database collection, input, and management of CRM System
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Enrolled in a Business or Sports management College Degree Program
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment
• Previous sports experience a plus, but not required
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
• Ability to stand for up to 5+ hours during a game
• Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat
