About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Preconstruction Project Manager to join a growing New Construction team. This role requires at least 5 years of commercial mechanical project management experience and is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and highly skilled at managing projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage HVAC and plumbing new construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Engage customers, support sales efforts, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Develop layouts, designs, and installation plans for HVAC/R and plumbing systems
  • Oversee project scheduling, coordination, and execution using construction scheduling software
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Ensure compliance with state and local building codes
  • Motivate, train, and manage team members at varying skill levels
  • Create strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of work

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in new construction

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems
  • Advanced understanding of system layout, design, fabrication, and installation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable making informed decisions independently
  • Proficient with construction scheduling tools and standard office technology
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
