The Opportunity
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the coordination of the packaging/display/visual information flow process, functioning as a liaison between sales, estimating, accounting, production, and the customer.
This is an onsite role at our Adams, WI site.
How you impact Smurfit Westrock:
  • Manage the customer experience:
    1. Quotes; Orders; Schedules/Tracking; Expediting; Shipping; Inventory Management; Reporting
    2. Estimating: Work with sales, management and customer on product estimating to produce item specific quotes, documenting accordingly.
    3. Orders: Manage and process customer purchase orders ensuring all data is complete, accurate, documented and tracked for customer fulfillment. Includes customer credit and set-up, pricing, product specifications, order tracking and correspondence for achieving on-time in-full (OTIF) deliveries.
  • Manage all inventory (planned or unplanned) to reduce excess aged inventory and control costs
  • Manage all quality complaints in the system of record with plant quality manager providing root cause corrective action to customers within standard time allotted
  • Process customer/account specific reports, as needed; i.e. open order/status reports, etc.
  • Create, facilitate and attend new item meetings as required
  • Attend production meetings to ensure order tracking and fulfillment
  • Create & facilitate customer and/or plant specific cadence meetings for accounts, as required
  • Visit key customer and vendor locations to enhance ongoing business relationships
  • Organize and communicate customer feedback relative to company/plant/service performance
  • Responsible for continuous education in the areas of new technology, new processes, personal & professional growth
  • Provide innovative ideas relative to service, sales, and process/procedures
  • Adhere to Smurfit WestRock values and operating principles
  • Individual contributor that works under supervision
  • Applies subject matter knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or GED required; Post-secondary education preferred
  • Experience in customer service/account management preferred
  • Experience in printing or packaging preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required

  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks efficiently and accurately
