As a sales project manager, your responsibilities are to define the requirements for qualified sales leads, initiate and nurture customer relationships, draft sales proposals including price quotes, and help sales agents close sales to meet short-term and long-term goals. You also observe the company's sales process and identify areas for improvement.

What does a sales project manager do?

A Sales Project Manager oversees and coordinates sales projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements and business goals. They serve as the main point of contact between clients, sales teams, and other departments, managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Their role includes developing project plans, tracking progress, resolving issues, and ensuring successful project delivery. Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

  • Lead effective project meetings and provide concise, timely updates to team members and leadership.
  • Apply Lean and Business Process Management (BPM) principles to streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and continuously improve processes.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining focus on timelines, budgets, quality, and brand expectations.
  • Foster accountability, positivity, and momentum across project teams, particularly during high-pressure launch periods.

  • Ability to work on-site five days per week in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience managing projects within manufacturing, consumer products, or a related industry.
  • Experience with ClickUp.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with Product Labeling requirements.
  • Experience partnering with third-party manufacturers or co-manufacturers.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
