POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Vice President of Sales is a key executive leadership position responsible for developing and executing nVenia's commercial strategy to drive sustainable, profitable growth across the United States. This role leads sales strategy, strategic account growth, commercial execution, sales operations, forecasting, and talent development while ensuring alignment with customer needs, operational capabilities, and business objectives.
This position requires a leader who can balance strategic direction with hands-on execution. The Senior Vice President of Sales sets the long-term commercial vision while remaining actively involved in key customer opportunities, sales pipeline reviews, forecasting activities, talent development, and cross-functional initiatives. The successful candidate may come from outside the packaging or automation industries but must demonstrate strong technical aptitude, curiosity, and learning agility to quickly understand nVenia's products, applications, customers, and markets.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive profitable revenue growth, market expansion, customer acquisition, and increased market share.
  • Leverage the complementary capabilities of Duravant operating companies to deliver integrated solutions that address customer requirements and create incremental growth opportunities across the enterprise.
  • Lead strategic account management initiatives and key customer relationships, including direct involvement in major opportunities, customer meetings, negotiations, and commercial reviews.
  • Serve as both a strategic business leader and active participant in daily commercial operations, maintaining strong visibility with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, recruit, retain, and develop senior sales leaders and commercial team members through talent development, succession planning, and leadership coaching.
  • Establish and maintain a disciplined sales operating system focused on forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, Salesforce CRM utilization, performance metrics, territory planning, and opportunity management.
  • Drive commercial process improvements through analytics, reporting, KPI governance, and performance measurement tools.
  • Partner closely with site leadership, Operations, Engineering, Service, Product, Marketing, Finance, executive leadership, and Duravant operating companies to align go-to-market strategies and business priorities.
  • Support demand generation, brand positioning, customer engagement, pricing strategy, budgeting, forecasting, margin management, and profitability objectives.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, continuous improvement, and performance excellence across the commercial organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, capital equipment, automation, engineered products, or another technically complex business environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years leading and developing senior sales leaders and managers, with demonstrated success building high-performing commercial teams.
  • Growth and Sales Operations: Demonstrated track record of driving profitable sales growth, expanding markets, implementing sales operating systems, improving forecasting discipline, strengthening CRM utilization, and managing commercial performance metrics.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong strategic sales leadership, technical aptitude, learning agility, financial acumen, business judgment, executive presence, communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, stakeholder influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn complex products, applications, customer processes, markets, and technically complex business requirements.
  • Software: Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred Experience: Packaging industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the United States, with occasional international travel as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use a computer, phone, and other office equipment.
  • Occasionally required to visit manufacturing, assembly, testing, customer, or field environments where walking, standing, climbing stairs, and navigating equipment areas may be required.
  • May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is primarily office-based and involves frequent collaboration with customers, sales teams, site leadership, engineering, operations, service, marketing, finance, executive leadership, and Duravant business partners. The role includes regular travel to customer sites, trade shows, company locations, and field environments. The employee may occasionally enter manufacturing, assembly, testing, warehouse, customer, or field installation areas where exposure to moving mechanical parts, equipment, moderate noise levels, and standard safety procedures may occur.
