Job description

Position Summary:
Performs set-up, operation, and minor maintenance of CNC turret punch press equipment in assigned work area to fabricate sheet metal components from flat stock.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform machine set-up/changeover on CNC turret punch press equipment to produce the required product or components by making mechanical adjustments (tooling, dies) to meet product specifications
  • Perform first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, profiling, and mechanical/software adjustments
  • Operate equipment to achieve production requirements and quality goals. Make minor adjustments to correct machine output as needed
  • Perform manual production operations as required, e.g., load and unload sheet metal stock, stage and deburr finished parts
  • Use of calipers, micrometers, gauges to inspect machine output to verify proper part configuration and workmanship standards are being met
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or maintenance work instruction
  • Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules
  • Forklift experience desired or ability to get/maintain forklift certification
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Due to U.S. export control laws and regulations (ITAR), applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or otherwise qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.62). Employment is contingent upon verification of eligibility to access export-controlled information.
  • Must be available to work second shift core hours (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM), including overtime and weekend hours as needed to support production requirements.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-2+ years of experience setting up and operating machines, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification
  • Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is: $18.14 - $24.48 hourly.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
