Job description

Bienville Lumber Company, LLC is seeking a motivated and results-driven Lumber Sales Representative to join our growing team in Ruston, Louisiana.
As a member of our sales team, you will serve as a trusted resource to customers by providing product knowledge, pricing information, and responsive customer service while supporting the company's commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Generate sales through outbound calls, networking, prospecting, and lead generation activities.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and specifications.
  • Follow up with customers regarding orders, requests, feedback, and sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate and schedule customer meetings, sales calls, and other business development activities.
  • Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits as needed.
  • Travel up to 30%.

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales information within company databases and systems.
  • Prepare and process customer information to support sales, billing, and communication activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of customer interactions and sales activities.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous sales experience preferred; experience in lumber, building materials, or forest products is a plus.
