Position Title: Parts Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Performing a critical role in the Parts Department, the Parts Sales Manager is responsible for achieving revenue and profit goals by increasing our parts influence in our markets. This role is responsible for developing and managing sales in the New York and Connecticut market through innovative and collaborative endeavors that meet the needs of the business, the bus industry, and our customers overall. The Parts Sales Manager receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing policies and procedures that enhance our position in the marketplace and ultimately increase sales. This position will oversee a sales team, conduct business reviews with key accounts, set sales objectives, and monitor competitive and market intelligence.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Team Management:

  • Supervise and coach the external sales team across assigned territories.
  • Define and track team performance objectives.
  • Support the development of team members' skills sand help them achieve their goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability to emerging industry trends.
  • Collaborate with other departments (marketing, purchasing, customer service) to align commercial strategies.

Account Management & Business Development:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts through regular Business reviews
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth
  • Design and implement account strategies tailored to customer needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and deliver effective after-sales support.
  • Define and implement promotional strategies aligned with business objectives, including pricing policy, seasonal campaigns, and product positioning.
  • Represent the company at industry seminars, trade shows, and professional events to strengthen market presence.

Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor activity and propose strategic adjustments.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPI) and produce regular sales and forecast reports.
  • Propose solutions based on in depth analysis of customer needs and industry trends.

OTHER DUTIES

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

  • Approximately 50%

Requirements

 EDUCATION / REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related studies preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in external sales management or key account management, ideally in the Parts and distribution sector

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Experience in team management and positive leadership
  • Ability to analyze market data and formulate strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent negotiation and customer relationship management skills.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Speech and hearing sufficient for regular in-person and telephone communication with all employees, vendors, customers, and other dealerships.
  • Ability to write or type sufficiently to communicate to customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Maintain manual hand and finger dexterity sufficient for frequent use of computer and mouse.
  • Frequently lift and handle up to 25lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and handle objects 26 to 50lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and handle objects weighing over 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel, push/pull and reach and balance sufficiently to move around parts room and shop area to access parts.
  • Ability to move through the facility to observe job performance and adherence to safety guidelines. This includes climbing ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle on company-related business such as for travel to/from other facilities, seminars, conferences and medical facilities.
  • Ability to travel to Canada for corporate training, planning, and development
