Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving customer success and supporting the sales process through effective communication, organization, and problem-solving. Key responsibilities include managing the opportunity funnel within Salesforce, generating accurate quotes and price lists, and maintaining up-to-date customer records. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with customers through regular outreach, promptly address inquiries and issues, and ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through post-sale support. Success in this role requires attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives to manage opportunity funnel accurately and effectively within sales force
    • Maintain accurate accounts and leads
    • Create and maintain new opportunities
    • Ensure correct pricing and contractual information is used for opportunity creation
    • Work closely with regional VP's on revenue trajectory activities
  • Create and manage accurate, timely quotes for hardware products using sales force CPQ tool
  • Create and manage accurate customer price lists within sales force and ensure price lists are assigned to correct accounts
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers seeking information about quotes, orders status, etc.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and resolve issues efficiently while keeping customers informed
  • Focus on acquiring new customers, retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers, prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
  • Represent the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities.
  • Establish and develop key customer contacts and interfaces within the customer base to support Sales Account Teams/Adtran's objectives and strategies

  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing (or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Science) required.
    • Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a sales position or customer service type environment.
  • Efficient with Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Excel (specifically Word and PowerPoint)
  • Technical ability or desire to learn IT/SaaS/Networking/Broadband/Wireless and other Telecommunications Technologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to multi-task and drive issues to resolution
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
  • Experience in Telecommunications industry preferred.
  • Data analysis experience preferred.
  • Any prior customer, marketing, telemarketing experience is preferred.
  • Prior sales experience strongly preferred.
