Both positions are common in retail and sales industries, but the apprentice position is ideal for those starting their sales careers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Sales Apprentice, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Sales Apprentice, you need foundational knowledge of sales processes, strong communication skills, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, basic office applications, and sometimes product-specific training are typically required. Proactiveness, resilience, and a willingness to learn are essential soft skills that help build rapport and adapt in a fast-paced environment. These abilities are crucial for developing effective sales techniques, managing client interactions, and building a successful sales career.

Most programs pair new apprentices with experienced sales professionals who provide guidance, feedback, and on-the-job coaching. Regular check-ins and performance reviews help track progress and identify areas for growth, ensuring a supportive environment as they develop confidence and expertise in sales.

The ELIFIN® Apprenticeship Program is how we build the next group of top agents. It is a focused 10-week immersion designed for individuals ready to launch a career in commercial real estate brokerage, trained directly by ELIFIN's CEO and the top producers in our market. This program is built for people already licensed or obtaining their license during the program, who are ready to go all in on building a career as a professional CRE agent.
We are opening up a maximum of four (4) spots in the September 9, 2026 class. Why ELIFIN®

  • Purpose-driven, high-accountability culture. 57,262 prospecting dials in 2025. Year-over-year revenue growth of 40 to 70% for each of the last two years.
  • Proprietary data and technology. AI-powered research tools, automated buyer lists, and market intelligence give our agents an unfair advantage. A traditional brokerage cannot replicate it.
  • $87 million in open commission opportunity across New Orleans, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge in 2025. Territory is wide open for agents ready to compete for it.
  • Everything required to win, already in place. Culture, team, sales system, training, low direct competition, and a track record to back all of it up.
What You'll Do
As an ELIFIN® Apprentice, you will start building the habits, disciplines, and knowledge base that allow new agents to perform at a high level from day one. Over the 10-week program, you will:

  • Work alongside high performers who move fast and expect excellence
  • Push yourself harder than in any other job you're considering taking out of school

This is an action-driven, high-intensity environment built to prepare you to succeed as a full-time agent. It is not an internship. There is no busy work. You are not doing tasks for someone else. You are building yourself.Who This Program Is For
