Job Summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group is seeking a Per Diem Wound Care Physician to join our established Wound Care Center at Salem Hospital.

Qualifications

About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment while providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with acute and chronic wounds.

The Wound Care Center offers comprehensive outpatient evaluation and treatment utilizing evidence-based practices and works closely with specialists across multiple disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds in an outpatient setting.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based wound care practices.

  • Perform bedside procedures, including wound debridement, when appropriate.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, primary care physicians, surgeons, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive care.

  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.

  • Participate in a flexible per diem schedule based on departmental needs.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in a relevant specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, or other applicable specialty).

  • Massachusetts medical license (or ability to obtain).

  • DEA certification.

  • Previous wound care experience is preferred, though physicians with an interest in wound management and procedural care are encouraged to apply.
