Tax Manager
Westbury, NY
Our client is a large and growing company that is hiring for a Tax Manager to join their team. The company is highly successful and stable and in need of a talented tax professional to add value to the organization. You will report to the head of Tax and be involved in domestic tax planning and reporting for the company as well as handling some tax work for ancillary businesses and owners. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, stable company that will allow you to impact and improve their tax infrastructure. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary in the range of $150,000 - $180,000 plus bonus, an excellent benefit package and a desirable work/life balance. They are in the office 2 days a week, so they need someone relatively local.
Responsibilities of the Senior Manager of Tax include:
ยท In-house preparation of company tax filings
ยท Assess and develop tax accounting processes and procedures
ยท Report to executive management on current and forecasted tax status
ยท Work closely with outside tax firm on their review of filings
ยท Stay on top of any new pronouncements and adjust procedures accordingly
Qualifications:
ยท Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Masters in Tax preferable
ยท Seven or more years of public tax accounting with a real estate client specialty
ยท Experience in tax reporting for a sizable company is required
ยท CPA required
