Job Description
A New York City based Certified Public Accounting and Consulting firm with a New York and Florida presence is seeking to hire ta Tax Manager, Private Client Group to join their teams. This position can be in Boca Raton, FL or Palm Beach Gardens, FL, or in New York City.
The Tax Manager who will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and services to high-net-worth individuals and family offices. This role will include oversight, management, and detailed review of complex income tax filings for individuals, trusts, family investment partnerships, gift, and estate tax returns, interpreting tax law changes, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The Tax Manager will be involved in developing tax-efficient strategies, managing client relationships, and overseeing a team of tax professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients.
  • Review complex tax filings for individuals, trusts, family investment partnerships, private foundations, estates and gift taxes.
  • Understand clients'financial goals, assets, and investment portfolios.
  • Provide personalized tax planning and advisory services tailored to individual client needs.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts in an understandable manner to clients.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of clients'financial situations to identify tax planning opportunities.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize clients'tax liabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
  • Review the work of team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Conduct research on specific tax issues and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Analyze tax implications of various financial decisions, such as investments and estate planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.

Experience:
  • 5 + years of experience in tax consulting, preferably with a focus on high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Leadership abilities and experience managing a team of tax professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
