Job description

Children's Lighthouse Learning Center leads the way in values-based early childhood education-providing care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.

As a Infant Teacher, you will use various teaching methods and techniques like storytelling, games, music, creative play to teach kids basic social skills and learning concepts. You will partner with the Director, Assistant Director and Curriculum Coordinator to establish and maintain a environment and routine that conducive to learning and child development.

Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age (25 if responsible for driving a bus)

Has 2-year minimum experience in specific age group

Knowledge and understanding of all current State and Local regulations.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide a positive and nurturing environment for the children.

Responsible for health and safety of the children – not excessive accidents.

Consistently keep clean and maintain the classroom areas (including bathrooms).

Shelves have toys and manipulatives attractively displayed and labeled

Equipment out and children taught to use it properly

Provides consistent and constant supervision of all children. Children are never left alone. Know how many children that you are responsible for at all times, ages, and who they are.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Enjoys children and expresses genuine interest in them

Speaks with calm, gentle voice

Supports cultural differencesMaintains positive parent interaction

Will frequently lift as in lifting, carrying, walking with, and holding infants and children.

Must be able to stoop, bend, and sit on a child’s level.
