Job description

Saline Valley Diagnostic Radiology (SVDR) is expanding its Interventional Radiology team and seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join their practice in Marion, Illinois. This role involves providing diagnostic and interventional services, including Level 2 trauma coverage at Deaconess Heartland Regional Medical Center, with opportunities to expand vascular interventions. The position offers leadership responsibilities in developing the IR program, supported by an additional stipend.

Practice Info

  • Serves the Southern Illinois Community for over 40 years.
  • Provides diagnostic and interventional services to 12 Illinois hospitals, 2 Surgery Centers, and many affiliated clinics and express care centers.
  • Covers Level 2 trauma at Deaconess Heartland Regional Medical Center.
  • Operates with an internal 24/7 Results Communication Center support team (CORE = Center of Radiology Excellence) to coordinate care and clinical contact.
  • Continuously reviews and improves radiology service through new clinical initiatives, research, artificial intelligence, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a broad range of interventions.
  • Expand the service line to include vascular interventions.
  • Read a broad spectrum of diagnostic imaging.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with local referring physicians.
  • Develop the IR program.
  • Perform IR procedures including biopsy, ablation, TIPS, nephrostomy tube placement/exchange, abscess drains, paracentesis, thoracentesis, pleural drains, and gastro tube placement/replacement.

Compensation

  • Generous Compensation.
  • Partnership Upon Start Date.
  • The salary range for this position is $650,000-$750,000.
  • Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
  • Additional stipend provided for leadership duties.
  • Compensation encompasses base salary and bonuses.

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time (30+ hrs/week).
  • Onsite M-F.
  • Shift: 7am-5pm CST.
  • 80% IR; 20% DX.
  • No Call.
  • No Weekend.

Requirements

  • Residency-trained in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Capable of reading various diagnostic modalities.
  • Board certified or Board Eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology required.
  • Ability to obtain an Illinois and Indiana license.
  • Leadership Skills/Interest.
  • Ability to engage with and support the needs of the referring physicians.
  • Ability to maintain a culture that provides quality outcomes.
