Job description

Saline Valley Diagnostic Radiology (SVDR) is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join their growing team in Marion, Illinois. This role involves providing diagnostic and interventional services, including coverage at a Level 2 trauma center, with opportunities to expand vascular interventions. The position offers leadership responsibilities in developing the IR program within a collaborative environment.

Practice Info

  • Serves 12 Illinois hospitals, 2 Surgery Centers, and affiliated clinics/express care centers.
  • Covers Level 2 trauma at Deaconess Heartland Regional Medical Center.
  • Operates with an internal 24/7 Results Communication Center support team (CORE) to coordinate care and clinical contact.
  • Continuously reviews and improves radiology services through new clinical initiatives, research, artificial intelligence, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a broad range of interventions at a Level 2 trauma center.
  • Expand the service line to include vascular interventions.
  • Read a broad spectrum of diagnostic imaging.
  • Perform IR procedures including biopsy, ablation, TIPS, nephrostomy tube placement/exchange, abscess drains, paracentesis, thoracentesis, pleural drains, and gastro tube placement/replacement.
  • Develop the IR program with leadership responsibility.
  • Engage with and support the needs of referring physicians.

Compensation

  • Additional stipend provided for leadership duties.
  • Compensation encompasses base salary and bonuses.
  • Salary range for this position is $650,000-$750,000.
  • Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time (30+ hrs/week).
  • Onsite M-F.
  • Shift: 7am-5pm CST.
  • 80% IR; 20% DX.
  • No Call.
  • No Weekend.

Requirements

  • Residency-trained in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Capable of reading a broad spectrum of diagnostic imaging.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment with local referring physicians.
  • Board certified or Board Eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology required.
  • Ability to obtain an Illinois and Indiana license.
  • Leadership Skills/Interest.
