POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY
The Behavioral Health Practitioner II (BHP-II) will conduct comprehensive assessments for autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring conditions (e.g., attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, global developmental delay, intellectual disability). The BHP-II will also provide outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their families, while coordinating with other professionals involved in treatment (such as physicians, care coordinators, psychologists, and other service providers) to ensure continuity of care. Additionally, the BHP-II will develop treatment goals and implement either manualized or individualized treatment protocols. Individualized treatment protocols will be developed by the BHP-II. This position will involve clinical supervision of clinical staff and trainees. This position will also aid faculty in scholarly endeavors, such as applied research and grant funded projects.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required Education: Master's degree or equivalent If any degree major/training is required, please specify the type. (NOTE: Concentration and minors are not equivalent to a major)
Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or School Psychology, or related field.
Required Experience 2 years If any experience is required, please specify what kind of experience:
Experience conducting standardized assessments with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in a professional setting.

1. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
2. Ability to administer and score standardized assessments.
3. Ability to conduct structured and semi-structured clinical interviews.
5. Knowledge of behavioral and cognitive behavioral methods of intervention.
5. Ability to implement manualized and individually designed treatment protocols.
6. Ability to modify manualized and individually designed treatment protocols as needed to ensure appropriate patient outcomes.
7. Ability to demonstrate professional behavior by adhering to departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and assuming authority appropriately.
8. Must pursue education or training necessary to perform at the level of competence required to incorporate the hardware, software, technologies, and ideas relevant to specific job responsibilities.
9. Ability to be flexible, multi-task, and manage competing priorities.

11. Ability to recognize the need for additional supervision as needed.
