Salary: $20.00+ DOE

Job Title: HRB Press Brake Operator

Job Summary:

Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of hydraulic press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal components according to production specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate HRB press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to blueprints and work orders.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and bend specifications to determine machine settings.
  • Select proper tooling and perform necessary adjustments for accurate bending and forming.
  • Inspect completed workpieces for conformance to specifications using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, protractors, gauges).
  • Monitor machine performance and report malfunctions or defects to maintenance or supervisors.
  • Maintain proper documentation of work performed, including production logs and quality checks.
  • Ensure materials are loaded, aligned, and positioned properly for accurate forming.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies related to equipment operation and material handling.
  • Collaborate with team members, including welders, assemblers, and engineers, to ensure production efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in training new operators or cross-training team members as required.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
  • Proven experience operating hydraulic press brakes in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications.
  • Familiarity with CNC press brake controls and programming (e.g., Amada, Cincinnati, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Basic math and measurement skills required.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and position materials (typically up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Required to wear appropriate safety gear (e.g., gloves, steel-toed boots, safety vest).
