Opportunity Information
We are seeking a board certified or board eligible neurosurgeon with a focus on complex cranial surgery to join a high-performing, integrated neuroscience group within Sutter Medical Group. The primary practice location for this role is Sutter Medical Center Sacramento (Midtown Sacramento). This position will support comprehensive stroke care and advanced cranial neurosurgery across the Sutter Valley hospitals
Qualifications
  • Board certified/Board eligible
  • Clinical Focus
    Open cerebrovascular surgery, including aneurysm clipping
    Open and/or endoscopic skull base surgery
    Management of complex cranial and skull base pathology in collaboration with multidisciplinary stroke, neurocritical care, neurointerventional, ENT, and trauma teams
    Training and Experience
    Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery
    Fellowship training or equivalent experience in open cerebrovascular surgery and/or skull base surgery
    Demonstrated experience with low-frequency, high-acuity cranial cases
    Strong interest in collaborative, team-based care within an integrated health system
    Call Structure
    Participation in a unified neurosurgery call panel with
    The neurosurgeon on call serves as the primary physician for neurosurgical emergencies, with established escalation pathways for rare, highly specialized cases
