Job description

Data Center Project Manager
Position Details:
• Exempt Salary position based upon experience & skill level
• Contract with possible contract extension or hire
• Standard site hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:00pm
• Location: Client site - Bowling Green, OH
• Daily onsite presencerequired.
• Up to15% traveldepending on project needs.
• Supervision responsibilities included.
Contract with possible contract extension or hire (fixed weekly salary broken down hourly for invoicing purposes only) - $62.50 - $64.90
Direct Hire (must be open to between 15-50% travel throughout the U.S.): Up to 135K/YR

Requirements:

  • 5 years of telecom construction industry experience in a management or leadership role.
    • Knowledge of low voltage/fiber, cable management, and cable audits
    • Cost forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Prepare and lead presentations and briefings
    • Safety enforcement, Quality Control and change management
    • Monitor vendor performance, approve invoices, and track project expenditures.
  • Assist in leading 40-60+ resources (technicians, project admin, safety personnel, and construction manager)
  • Prior experience managing large data center or structured cabling construction projects highly preferred.
  • Experience across multiple contract and delivery models (GMP, design, build, fixed price, etc.).
  • Proficiency - MS Office, Primavera P6, SPI (Scheduling Performance Index), CPI (Cost Performance Index), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • OSHA 30 (if they don’t have it will need to be obtained within 60 days of starting)
    • BICSI RCDD
    • BICSI RTPM
    • PMI PMP
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead day-to-day construction management using established PMO standards and methodologies.
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules.
Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
Identify and manage change events, applying best practice change management processes.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and site standards across all project activities.
Ensure quality control through consistent documentation, tracking, and reporting.
Maintain adherence to construction technology platforms, building codes, and industry standards.
Financial & Contract Management
Utilize construction accounting principles to support cost forecasting, budget analysis, and financial reporting.
Manage contracting and delivery methods including lump sum, cost-plus, GMP, design build, and time & material.
Monitor vendor performance, approve invoices, and track project expenditures.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and senior leadership.
Communicate project status, risks, milestones, and priorities clearly and confidently.
Prepare presentations and lead briefings for both small and large groups.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Anticipate issues, mitigate risks, and drive timely resolution of conflicts.
Apply data driven insights to influence decisions and optimize project performance.
Promote a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement on site.
