Job description

*Testing must be completed (and passed) before applicants are eligible for an interview.

*Applicants who have already completed and passed testing are NOT required to test again.


Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
  1.   High school graduate or equivalent.
  2.   Typing accurate at 40 wpm, pass filing and packet assimilation testing (REQUIRED)
  3.   Demonstrate computer skills.
  4.   Ability to meet the public.
  5.   Demonstrate the ability to interact with students.
Job Goals:
To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.
Essential Job Functions:
  1.   Maintain accurate reports of attendance, enrollment, withdrawals, schedules, student files and any other reports as needed.
  2.   Meet the public and address their needs with a pleasant personality.
  3.   Assist the students in meeting their needs.
  4.   Prepare nine-weeks report, immunization report, year-end report, and all other periodic reports, schedules, and letters required by district, state or federal
government.
Performance Responsibilities:
  1.   Provide first aid whenever necessary.
  2.   Handle all mail services of the building.
  3.   Take necessary inventories and order needed supplies.
  4.   Take money and issue receipts and related money matters.
  5.   Make contact with other schools for transcript information.
  6.   Contact parents in regards to student absence.
  7.   Assist in marking textbooks and supplies.
  8.   Prepare registration information.
  9.   Prepare information for report cards and attendance.
10.   Order building supplies when necessary.
11.   Call substitute teachers.
12.   Prepare nine-weeks report, immunization report, year-end report, and all other periodic reports, schedules, and letters required by district, state or federal
government.
13.   Maintain good building key records.
Salary:
Guest Secretaries are paid on the Classified Guest Salary Schedule.
