Senior SailPoint SME

Position Summary:

The Senior SailPoint SME owns the architecture, design, and technical integrity of the USAidgov (SailPoint IdentityIQ) platform, provides code governance and review, leads the team of Junior SailPoint SMEs, and advises Government PMs on architecture, design strategy, and SailPoint roadmap decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect the overall USAidgov (SailPoint) system, ensuring database backup integrity, performance, and scalability
  • Own SDLC governance for the SailPoint codebase, including independent code review prior to merge
  • Provide design oversight of internal/external account management workflows
  • Oversee daily SailPoint processes and connectors (Okta Connector, MasterAPI, Org2Org), resolving sync/data correlation issues
  • Design and execute annual (or policy-driven) privileged and unprivileged user certification campaigns, including certifier routing rules
  • Develop/maintain AWS Lambda scripting supporting IdAM automation
  • Provide subject matter expert recommendations on architecture, design strategy, and new SailPoint feature releases
  • Lead and mentor the team of SailPoint Jr. SMEs; support escalated Helpdesk tickets routed to DevOps engineers
  • Support SPA&A activities and JCAM artifact development related to SailPoint

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience developing code for and maintaining on-premises SailPoint IdentityIQ installations (explicit PWS requirement)
  • Deep expertise in SailPoint workflows, connectors, and identity governance/certification campaign design
  • Experience integrating SailPoint with Okta (SSO/MFA) and AWS Lambda scripting
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST RMF, and federal identity governance requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership/mentoring experience with junior engineering staff
  • Must be employed by a U.S.-based company with support services local to Washington, DC, and be available to all places of performance, including travel at no additional charge to the Government
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Federal Government background check/clearance at the Secret level
