Job description

WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking a experienced and motivated Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team Lead to support IAM operations and drive key initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for a professional with 7–9 years of IAM experience and demonstrated ability to lead projects and guide team members. The IAM Team Lead will provide day-to-day technical leadership, ensure operational excellence in identity governance, and partner with IT, Security, and Compliance teams to deliver secure, scalable access solutions.


IAM Strategy & Administration

  • Administer and optimize Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory), including RBAC models, conditional access policies, and privileged identity management
  • Support enterprise-wide SSO integrations, ensuring secure authentication and a seamless user experience
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of IAM policies and standards aligned with industry best practices

Access Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate execution and improvement of joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes
  • Facilitate periodic access reviews and ensure timely remediation of identified issues
  • Collaborate with HR and IT to enhance and automate access workflows

Security & Compliance Support

  • Assist in monitoring and responding to identity-related security incidents and alerts
  • Partner with audit and compliance teams to support SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements
  • Identify IAM-related risks and contribute to remediation activities

Team & Project Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day support to IAM team members
  • Lead IAM initiatives such as SSO onboarding, MFA rollouts, and PAM enhancements
  • Help prioritize work efforts and track progress against IAM deliverables and metrics

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate IAM tools and recommend enhancements to improve security and efficiency
  • Support development of KPIs for IAM performance (e.g., provisioning time, MFA adoption)
  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance operational effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7–9 years of IAM experience, including experience leading projects or serving in a team lead capacity
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), RBAC, and conditional access policies
  • Experience with SSO integrations and MFA implementations
  • Familiarity with identity governance and privileged access management (PAM)

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience contributing to IAM architecture and cross-functional initiatives
  • Familiarity with IAM frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, Zero Trust)
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, CISSP, or similar
