Sr. IAM/Sailpoint Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Senior IAM/SailPoint Developer for a remote, full-time contract role. In this position, you will design, implement, and enhance Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, with a focus on SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory. You will play a key role in leading technology strategy and roadmap development, integrating security controls, and ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in IAM concepts, protocols, and tools, as well as strong proficiency in scripting and automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee Privileged Access Management, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to domain migration and merger initiatives. This role requires a forward-thinking, adaptable mindset, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining information security and privacy. Relevant certifications such as SailPoint Certified, CISSP, or CCSP are highly desirable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Serve as the deep technical expert for cybersecurity principles across network, application, system, cloud, and endpoint environments, applying security knowledge to identify and assess risk and develop secure solutions to protect enterprise data and systems
  • Lead and guide teams through technical challenges and technology changes to deliver secure business outcomes, leveraging subject matter experts as needed
  • Oversee or consult on technology implementation and modification activities, particularly for new or shared solutions
  • Integrate security controls and provide input into architectural designs and requirements, collaborating with architects, business analysts, product owners, and peers
  • Create, review, and approve technical documentation for supported applications and provide specifications for vendors
  • Analyze, plan, justify, schedule, and coordinate the implementation and maintenance of administrative, operational, and financial initiatives, including TCO, optimization, and efficiency
  • Lead the development of technology strategy and roadmap, including design, documentation, communication, and implementation of new or existing standards for infrastructure technologies
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party vendors, developing reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reporting to drive outcomes and meet expectations for quality and performance
  • Implement and enhance Privileged Access Management solutions and establish/enforce IAM governance policies to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure IAM (Cloud) services are designed to be compliant with security, privacy, and industry standards and practices
  • Collaborate with IAM, cloud, and enterprise architects to integrate IAM into broader cloud and IT architecture
  • Assist with domain migration/merger initiatives and vendor evaluations
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of authentication devices and information assets, adhering to all information privacy and security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
  • Utilize IAM tools and platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Entra, Saviynt, Ping, Okta) and scripting/automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure Automation) for identity data management and automation
  • Manage Active Directory, configure and manage SailPoint and NERM, and implement identity governance, SSO, SAML, MFA, conditional access, MDCA policies, and app registration
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, technologies, and frameworks (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
  • Hands-on experience with IAM tools and platforms such as SailPoint, Entra, Saviynt, Ping, or Okta
  • Proficiency in SQL and PowerShell for querying, manipulating, and automating identity-related data
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Suite, and Active Directory management
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing SailPoint and NERM
  • Experience with identity governance, SSO, SAML, MFA, conditional access, MDCA policies, and app registration
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure Automation)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
